Our elementary distribution sites, Lakeview, Meadow Lake, Neill, and Northport, will serve their last meal bundle distribution on Wednesday, January 13. Cooper High School, Plymouth Middle School, Robbinsdale Middle School, and Sandburg Middle School (beginning January 26th) will continue to distribute meal bundles.
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has released updated guidance for close contact with a person positive with COVID-19.
We are sharing three things in this letter: information for elementary families, information for secondary families and upcoming non-school days (with several new dates for elementary students).

If you would like to register for or opt-out of our distance learning option (281 Distance Learning School) - the deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 22. We know this is a short timeframe. Based on the Governor’s announcement this week, we are working as quickly as possible to put a revised plan in place.

During Monday’s School Board meeting, the Board voted 5-2 to change school start times. There has not been a decision about which school year this will begin.

The School Board of Robbinsdale Area Schools is currently seeking applicants for the Financial Advisory Council (FAC). There is currently one open seat available (January 2021 – June 2022 term).
Within our Distance Learning PLUS model, we are able to offer Student Support Centers at each school. Virtual and in-person options for assistance are available for all students - in all grade levels and in all subject areas.
As we try to minimize community spread, it is important that we all continue to practice strict safety precautions. If your student gets a COVID test, they should stay home until you receive the test results - even if not experiencing any symptoms.
Parents/guardians of American Indian students are invited to join the Robbinsdale Area Schools American Indian Parent Advisory Committee (AIPAC). Meetings will be held virtually this school year.

Robbinsdale Area Schools will remain in Distance Learning PLUS for all students and will not begin the tiered start into a hybrid learning model on Nov. 16.
