Excitement and surprise were Robert Ware’s first emotions upon learning he had been named the 2025 Hennepin Division High School Principal of the Year by the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP).
The end of the school year marks a time of celebration, reflection, and pride as we honor the accomplishments of the Robbinsdale Area Schools Class of 2025. Whether students are completing high school, earning a diploma through our Adult Academic Program, or graduating from specialized transition services, each ceremony is a meaningful milestone.
At its May 20 meeting, the Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 Team studied the condition and capacity of Rdale’s school buildings—ranking facilities based on data and discussing how to align future investments with instructional priorities and long-term sustainability.
Robbinsdale Area Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Meals will be provided to children ages 1 year through 18 years without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

This morning, several of our buildings experienced isolated power outages. Power has been restored, and the school day is continuing as normal.
UPDATE at 8:35 a.m.: Power has been restored to Forest Elementary and FAIR School Crystal.
Three of our buildings are currently experiencing power outages—Forest Elementary, FAIR School Crystal, and Crystal Learning Center, which houses the Robbinsdale Transition Center. Most of our schools have backup generators, which are running and providing basic power.
At 2:35 p.m., per our safety and severe weather protocols, we delayed dismissing students due to a brief tornado warning, which has now passed.

The Robbinsdale Area Schools Indian Education Program is hosting our annual spring powwow on May 10. All members of the community are invited to attend this free event and experience singing, dancing, drumming, and other honored traditions.
This week, the Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 Team met at FAIR School Crystal to continue shaping the future of Robbinsdale Area Schools.
At its April meeting, the Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 Team explored school safety infrastructure and what great teaching looks like in every classroom—aligning efforts to create safe, engaging, and empowering learning environments for all Rdale students.
