Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale) has moved the Class of 2026 graduation ceremonies from Monday, June 1, 2026, to Friday, May 29, 2026, due to an unexpected issue with venue availability. The celebrations for Armstrong High School, Cooper High School, Robbinsdale Academy-Highview, and Robbinsdale Virtual Academy (RVA) will still take place at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
District administration explored multiple options, including alternative venues, to best meet the needs of students, families, and staff. Ultimately, it was determined that adjusting the date would ensure the most positive and well-coordinated experience for graduates and their families.
The district calendar has been updated and is available for download (Spanish, Somali). Specific ceremony times for each school will be shared later this school year as details are finalized. Families are encouraged to mark the new date on their calendars.
The district recognizes that this change may create scheduling conflicts for some families, which is why we are sharing this update as early as possible to support planning for this important milestone.
