As a result of families opting out of district bus transportation for the rest of the school year, we are rerouting many of our buses beginning Monday, Jan. 3, 2022. This means many of our students will have changes in their transportation to and from school.
During winter break, families will receive new transportation postcards in the mail to your address on record. These postcards will be similar to the ones you received before school began in the fall that includes important bus stop and route information. Postcards will be mailed out on Dec. 16. Please look for these postcards (yellow or pink in color) in the mail during winter break.
While we have made significant progress on hiring and training drivers, however, we are still short-staffed.
It is important to note that we have very few substitute drivers, so routes may still be canceled if drivers call out of work. Please make sure your Durham Bus Tracker app is refreshed and Infinite Campus contact and notification preferences are up to date and turned on.
