Welcome to Robbinsdale Academy - Highview

Dear Robbinsdale Academy Highview Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the staff at Robbinsdale Academy Highview, I am excited to welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year! My name is Robert Ware, and I proudly serve as the Principal of Robbinsdale Academy Highview & RVA. We’re looking forward to a successful year built on strong partnerships between school and home.

We believe that when families and schools work together, students thrive. A solid foundation of collaboration helps ensure that every student reaches their full potential. That’s why we’re asking for your continued partnership in supporting your student’s academic journey.

Student Expectations:

To be successful, we ask that students:

Attend school every day and arrive on time. Being ready to learn is essential.
Check their Schoology account daily.
Check their school-issued email account daily.
Stay current with all coursework and assignments.
Complete all homework and assessments on time.
Contact their teachers promptly if they need support.
Follow all school expectations and guidelines each day.

Family Support:

We ask that families support their student by:

Checking email daily for important updates from the school and teachers.
Responding to attendance calls — don’t ignore them! Call the office if you have questions.
Ensuring contact information is up to date.
Reading our weekly newsletter to stay informed.
Staying in touch with your student’s advisory teacher and monitoring grades and credits.
Attending conferences and school events.
Supporting our cell phone policy during school hours (please refer to our Technology Guidelines).

First Day of School:

Tuesday, September 2nd
8:35 AM – 3:15 PM

Important Reminders for the First Week:

Students will check in with administration upon arrival to confirm/update their school photo in Infinite Campus. This photo is used for safety and attendance purposes. Picture Day is the first day of school.
All students must bring their school-issued computer and charger daily (loaners are limited).
Students will follow their full schedule and remain in class for the entire period.
No off-campus lunch. Students may:
- Eat school-provided lunch
- Bring lunch from home
- Order lunch for delivery (during lunch period only)
- Lunch Time: 11:20–11:50 AM

Walk-in Wednesdays

These are designed for RVA (online) students to meet and work in-person with their teachers.

10th graders: Required to attend in person every Wednesday (full day).
11th & 12th graders: Encouraged to attend as needed.
Special education services will continue on Wednesdays at Highview.
Begins: September 17th

Picture Day: Tuesday, September 2nd | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (First Day of School)
Picture Retake Day: Monday, October 14th | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Cycle 1: Sept. 2 to Oct. 31
Cycle 2: Nov. 5 to Dec. 19
Cycle 3: Jan. 5 to Feb. 27
Cycle 4: Mar. 2 to April 17
Cycle 5: April 20 to June 4
